Zero tolerance

Child safety standards

Sportsplit is an adults-only service. These standards explain how to report concerns and how we respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Last updated 9 August 2026

Sportsplit does not allow anyone under 18 to create or use an account. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, trafficking, or content that sexualises or endangers a child.

Our standards

  • No child sexual abuse material, including real, altered, generated, or illustrated material.
  • No sexualisation of a child or requests, offers, links, or instructions to obtain exploitative material.
  • No grooming, sextortion, trafficking, enticement, or attempts to move a child to private communication or an in-person meeting.
  • No content or conduct that promotes, normalises, jokes about, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • No account belonging to, operated for, or knowingly used by anyone under 18.

These rules apply to profiles, photos, messages, matches, groups, links, and all other activity on Sportsplit. They supplement our community guidelines.

How to report a concern

  • Use the in-app report option on the relevant profile, chat, match, or content when available.
  • Block the account if you need to prevent further contact.
  • Email our designated child-safety contact at hello@sportsplit.co.uk with the subject “Child Safety”. Include account names, dates, and content or message identifiers that help us locate the report.
  • Do not download, copy, attach, or forward suspected illegal sexual content involving a child.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United Kingdom, call 999 in an emergency. You can also report suspected online child sexual exploitation to the police or the relevant national reporting organisation where you live.

How Sportsplit responds

When we receive a credible child-safety report, we may:

  • prioritise and review the relevant account, content, and available records;
  • remove content and restrict, suspend, or close accounts;
  • preserve information needed for an investigation or legal obligation; and
  • report apparent child sexual abuse material or exploitation to appropriate authorities or specialist organisations where required by law.

We cooperate with valid legal requests and take steps intended to prevent a reported account from continuing harmful activity on Sportsplit. We do not notify a reported user when doing so could increase risk or interfere with an investigation.

Age concerns and contact

If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, report it even if no abusive content is visible. The designated contact for questions and reports about these standards is hello@sportsplit.co.uk.
